Conspiracy theorist gets unfriendly greeting

| January 8, 2020 4:00 AM

A man told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office he knocked on a woman’s door and she allegedly “fired a shot off.” He said he wanted “to know what the laws are on that.” He also stated “he believes that everything is a government conspiracy.”

Someone claimed he saw on social media there was an “underage party” going on at a residence.

An RV park resident said he saw a pick-up truck backed up to a building and people were throwing items into the truck bed from the second floor. He said he could see the subjects through his binoculars and described them as a “heavy-set man” and “a female with her hair pulled up.”

A woman wanted to press charges against a man who was already incarcerated for a different crime. It was determined her claims were unfounded.

A woman said all four of her alpacas had been taken and she suspected a predator had eaten them. She said she could “see the drag line into the timber,” but she hadn’t checked all of her property for the missing animals.

A man’s truck got stuck on a road and when he returned with a tow truck it reportedly had been completely burned.

A woman claimed a man had come to her porch that morning and “looked in her window for two minutes.”

A chain saw was reported as stolen.

A woman complained about two snowmobilers she suspected were racing each other. She said, “there is not even any snow and they are running up the roads.” She asked for this situation to be checked out.

A woman was concerned she had been victimized by identity theft because she got a call about $2,000 worth of online purchases even though she had no online account.

A truck’s camper shell was found in the middle of a roadway.

Someone was suspicious of two young males sitting in their car and apparently texting. The person watching them said they were in a space that was “not a normal area for someone to park” and he was “not sure what they were up to.” He asked an officer to check on them since he thought it “appear[ed] like they [were] waiting to do a drug deal.” However, it turned out they were just waiting for a friend and there was nothing suspicious going on.

A homeowner found tracks in the snow and followed them back to a residence. The children who live there were told to stay off the man’s property and he said he was “happy with this.”
