Bonnie Kay McClarty, 66

Bonnie Kay McClarty, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, with her children, grandchildren and husband by her side. She was called to heaven after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Baldwin, and will be sorely missed. She is survived by her father Charles Baldwin, husband Michael Murphy, daughter and her husband Jessica and Colby Lenz, son and his wife Ryan and Sara McClarty, grandchildren Madison Gilchrist, Trace, Bristol and Chance Lenz and Marin, Cambria and Dalis McClarty, sisters and their spouses Carol and Harold Krause, Janet and Rod Krug and Brenda Baldwin and her brother William Baldwin. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Bonnie was born Sept. 26, 1953, in Whitefish to Charles and Betty Baldwin. She was married to Gary McClarty and they raised their two children, Jessica McClarty Lenz and Ryan McClarty. Bonnie later married Mike Murphy and they lived and played on Flathead Lake.

Excelling in life, she owned and operated Trendsetters Beauty Salon and Evergreen Gas and Deli; Bonnie truly loved working with her clients and customers and they became lifelong friends.

First and foremost, her true passion was being a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. Bonnie treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.

Bonnie was an adventure-seeker and loved to travel the world with her husband Mike, especially to South and Central America, Asia and Hawaii.

Flathead Lake was their Shangri-La; this truly magical place will forever carry her love for entertaining family and friends, cultivating her beautiful flowers and the hummingbirds that frequent her lakeside haven.

Bonnie’s hobbies included knitting, boating, jet skiing and cooking, with her two passions being baking her famous bunny cake with her granddaughter and sewing clothes many of us wear to this day.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, Feb. 15, 11 a.m. at Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 7465 Montana Hwy. 35, Bigfork.
