Purse snatchers take off on foot

Kalispell Police Department responded to a report of a burglary when two men possibly in their early 30s who allegedly went into a woman’s house — while she was home — and grabbed her purse then ran on foot, possibly toward Meridian.

Someone requested a welfare check for a man who was supposedly wearing only shorts, rubbing snow on his body and throwing it at cars on Meridian.

A strange looking brown box with hinges and a strap wrapped around it was allegedly seen outside a store. The “box with crafts” was disposed of.

An assistant manager was allegedly assaulted by a tenant who was screaming at him, headbutted him and punched him supposedly over an argument about a backdoor being propped open. Both parties reportedly admitted they were arguing with each other, but blamed each other for hitting first. Both were counseled on their disorderly behavior.

Police received a report that a man was allegedly trying to kick the ducks at Woodland Park.

A manager allegedly wanted a man arrested for destruction of property and disorderly conduct for “throwing” his mattress outside. Police advised the man the manager that damages had to be more than $1,000 in order for it to be a criminal offense and the man had rental rights. Police also observed the man cleaning his room and no noticeable damage to the mattress, which he said he was “beating the dust off of.”

A man on Third Avenue East North supposedly started yelling at someone walking across the street, saying he was going to kill them.

Someone threw an apple at a window.

Someone’s son allegedly took their vehicle after breaking into a shop. When someone went to check on the shop they reportedly discovered someone was living there and found drug paraphernalia.
