Gage Brink’s one-out eighth-inning single drove in Caden Willis with the winning run in the Kalispell Lakers’ 5-4 win over Great Falls Wednesday, in the first game of a AA Legion doubleheader.

The Lakers needed to score twice in the bottom of the seventh – Jack Corriveau’s two-out RBI single tied it at 4-4 – to force an extra inning with the Chargers. Great Falls built a 4-2 despite getting just one hit off the duo of AJ Wood and Reid Barrows.

Connor Drish had an RBI groundout in the seventh as well as a run-scoring single in the third.

Wood pitched six innings, allowing just four hits and fanning three. Just one of the runs he allowed was earned. Barrows fanned one in his two innings of work and got the win.

Brink’s game-winner gave him three hits in the game. Ben Corriveau scored twice.
