No. 27076 CITY OF WHITEFISH, MT INVITATION TO BID WATER SOURCE AND TREATMENT CAPACITY EXPANSION PROJECT Separate sealed bids for construction of the Water Source and Treatment Capacity Expansion Project will be received by the City of Whitefish at 418 E 2nd Street, Whitefish, MT 59937 until 2:00 PM local time on July 9th, 2020, and then publicly opened and read aloud. No. 27128 INVITATION TO BID FLATHEAD COUNTY SOLID WASTE DISTRICT WASH WATER PAD AND LINED BASIN CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Notice is hereby given that the Flathead County Solid Waste District will receive bids for the construction of the Wash Water Pad and Lined Basin Construction Project. The project generally consists of construction of a reinforced concrete wash pad, membrane lined wash water basin, asphalt concrete access road, and gravel pad improvements. Work primarily consists of clearing, grubbing, demolition, earthwork, gravel site surface, asphalt concrete pavement, HDPE conveyance pipe, HDPE lined basin, minor stormwater improvements, and other miscellaneous items. The proposed project is located in Flathead County, MT, approximately 4.8 miles north of the City of Kalispell, MT. The successful bidder must contract to pay prevailing wage rates, set by the Montana Department of Labor, and will be subject to withholding of 1% of all payments for transmittal to the Department of Revenue to pay the public contract tax. Completion of the work is required within 68 calendar days after commencement on approximately August 17, 2020 and according to the construction schedule to be determined after the Notice to Proceed is issued. The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) received an application for an amendment held by Schellinger Construction Company, Inc., (Schellinger) for the Essex Quarry, operating permit No. 00045. The quarry is located near Essex approximately 28 miles southeast of West Glacier in Flathead County, Montana. The site is in Sections 33 and 34, Township 30 North, Range 16 West. The amendment area would cover a total of 20.6 acres, all of which would proposed to be disturbed. In total 60.5 acres would be permitted for disturbance. The life of mine would extend to 2060. Schellinger would use trucks and heavy equipment to remove the stone used for riprap and ballast. Blasting would be required about once a year.
