Man rescued after fall in Glacier National Park

A man from New York was rescued by Glacier National Park crews and Two Bear Air after he fell and slid down a snowfield on Mount Oberlin at Logan Pass.
According to the park’s Twitter account, a search and rescue was initiated by park officials early Tuesday morning after the man lost his footing and slid down the snowfield.
Park officials began a search and rescue mission and requested assistance from Two Bear Air.
The man suffered a non-life threatening leg injury and was transported by Two Bear Air to West Glacier and then Three Rivers ground ambulance to North Valley Hospital.
Park staff reminded visitors that snowfields are particularly hazardous.
Visitors headed into the park’s higher elevations are encouraged to use extreme caution and have the appropriate skills and equipment to navigate such areas, or wait until conditions improve to visit those areas.
