Flathead count now at 132 confirmed cases
Flathead County added 31 more positive cases of COVID-19 from Saturday through Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the county to 132, according to the Governor’s Coronavirus Task Force.
Of those cases, 55 are active, 75 have recovered, and there have been two deaths in Flathead County from the virus. The Flathead City-County Health Department data on Monday afternoon showed three COVID hospitalizations in the county, two of which are residents of another county. Three non-residents, not included in Flathead County cases, are currently being monitored.
Statewide, the total number of COVID-19 cases rose to 2,471 cases on Monday. A total of 139,042 tests have been given, with 39 deaths and 48 active hospitalizations.
The governor reported the 38th and 39th deaths in Montana due to COVID-19, both associated with the Canyon Creek Memory Care outbreak in Yellowstone County.
“As we continue to see the tragic situation unfold at Canyon Creek, I call on Montanans to keep their guard up. We do have the ability to fight this virus and can protect our loved ones by wearing a mask and socially distancing, especially around those who are high risk,” Gov. Steve Bullock said in a prepared statement.
