Whitefish library rolls out Storytime Stroll

| July 22, 2020 1:00 AM

A new outdoor storytime begins this week at Whitefish Community Library.

Storytime Stroll has its inaugural run on Thursday, July 23. At 11 a.m. as everyone strolls along, the story will be read by the children’s librarian from signs set up along the sidewalks surrounding the library. There will be ample time for each family group to view the pages and walk to the next page. An activity will be provided on the east lawn behind the library following the story.

“Storytime Stroll will allow us to maintain a safe distance while enjoying each other’s company, hearing a story, and doing something fun afterwards,” librarian Mary Drew Powers said. “Storytime Stroll stories are targeted to preschoolers but can be enjoyed by everyone who likes a good book.”

If you miss the narrated Storytime at 11 a.m., you can still come and enjoy the story boards that day until 2 p.m. The library intends to continue this event each Thursday, weather permitting. Call-862-9914 for more information, or visit whitefishlibrary.org.
