Man recorded allegedly abusing child

Kalispell Police Department received a report from someone calling on U.S. 93 South who allegedly saw a stocky man drag an 8-to-10-year-old child out of a white pickup by the throat, shake him, scream in his face and slam him against the vehicle. The caller reportedly had some video footage of the incident.

Two men allegedly showed up at a woman’s Shady Lane residence looking for her son, who went out to talk to them. A tall, skinny man with red hair reportedly shoved and accused him of stealing a cell phone and a heavyset woman with blonde hair arrived on the scene and punctured two car tires with a knife.

A man in his 50s seen walking northbound on Seventh Avenue East North allegedly pulled his pants to his knees, exposing himself.

A vehicle was reported for driving recklessly on U.S. 93 when someone alleged it was driving at 70 mph and swerving in and out of traffic. Officers made contact with the driver who was purportedly “fighting with her dog.”

A man allegedly got on police about graffiti on irrigation controls located on Heritage Way saying it had been there for three months, that he previously reported the issue and it was city property so “public works needs to get it taken care of.”

A woman attempted to clean up behind a store where transients were hanging out and reportedly called police when she came across drug paraphernalia and “lots of nasty garbage” on a public sidewalk. Extra patrol was requested and public works advised of the situation.

Flathead Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from Blasdel Lane in Somers regarding a wildfire that looked to someone to be the size of a large campfire under trees in the Blasdel Waterfowl Production Area, which is closed March through July. The fire was knocked down and an on-call detective was requested.

Deputies on U.S. 2 in Kalispell may have thought they were being flagged down for help when they stopped after a man waved. He didn’t need assistance — was just happy.

Youths reportedly wreaked havoc on School Addition Road in Somers when someone’s neighbor ran them off because they were throwing rocks and breaking windows causing a lot of damage.
