3 nominees announced for circuit judge in central Kentucky

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Three people have been nominated to serve as a judge for the 11th Judicial Circuit in central Kentucky, officials said.

The nominees are Arthur Daniel “Dan” Kelly of Springfield, Brian Matthew Kester of Campbellsville and Kaelin Goheen Reed of Lebanon, the Judicial Nominating Commission announced on Monday in a statement. The district includes Green, Marion, Taylor and Washington counties.

Kelly, a former circuit judge and state senator, currently servers as a special judge for the circuit. Kester, a former public advocate, is an assistant county attorney for Taylor County and practices law with the firm of Bertram, Cox & Miller. Reed, a former assistant county attorney for Marion County, has owned Reed Law Office since 2006.

The former judge, Allan Ray Bertram, resigned in January.
