Carol Ann Street, 85
Carol Ann Street, 85, passed away peacefully on Oct. 24, 2020, in her home surrounded by family.
She was born to Melvin and Dolly Larson Dec. 21, 1934, in Lodgegrass, Montana.
She married Richard Street on Sept. 14, 1954. Carol truly lived her life by enjoying simple pleasures of company from friends and family, snacking and sharing laughter.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; brothers, Leroy, Tiny and Ronnie Larson; sisters, Sis Veigt and Donna Hatlen; daughter-in-law, Cathy Street; and great-grandchild, Kaiden Spain.
She is survived by her children, Ray Street, Sandy (Nelson) Samples, Kathy (Ralph) Swanson, Richard (Robin) Street, Bruce Street, John Street, Rocky (CJ) Street, Kevin Street, Mark (July) Street, Staci (Curt) Ost and Heidi Fretz (Mark Dunville); and her siblings, Bunny Miller, Karen Caldbeck, Jeanna Root and Sharon Secord.
Her son John had cared for her and her dog Bugzie for the last few years of her life. Whether it was helping with her tasks inside the house, outside in the garden, or keeping up with making sure her squirrels and birds had plenty of food to snack on, he was there to help make her and her little outdoor friends happy.
Carol took pride in her family and their successes and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. If she was on the phone or had company at her house, you could guarantee that her last words to you would be “love you more.” A song that made her heart full was, “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey.” She was our sunshine. She had the best laugh that would light up a room and she always gave the best hugs.
Carol loved to spend time in the kitchen making delicious food for herself, her family and visitors. If you were full, you could guarantee that she would be trying to make sure you eat more food so you didn’t leave her house hungry. She knew how to fill our stomachs with delicious food, but to also fill our hearts with so much love. We were blessed to have such a strong, amazing woman to look up to in our lives.
We want to thank the hospice staff of Home Options for providing her with love and proper care.
We will have a celebration of life for her at a later date.
