American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Day sidelined due to pandemic

Each year, the American Legion Auxiliary Kalispell Unit 137 commemorates Poppy Day on Saturday, Nov. 7, however, due to COVID-19 volunteers are unable to distribute poppies this year.

The annual Auxiliary effort supports all the activities the organization does to assist veterans. The American Legion Auxiliary has been working with the American Legion to help veterans for more than 100 years. All donations stay in Montana and most stay in the Flathead Valley benefiting the Montana Veterans Home and other local veterans.

If you would like to make a donation, send it to ALA Unit 137, P.O. Box 7961, Kalispell, MT 59904. Poppies will be mailed to those who would like to wear them to show their support if a stamped, self-addressed envelope is enclosed.
