C-Falls, Whitefish spikers move on in divisional tourney

COLUMBIA FALLS — The Columbia Falls Wildkats beat Butte Central in a three game sweep Thursday in a first round Northwestern A Divisional volleyball game.

Dillen Hoerner led the Wildkats offense with nine kills and a block.

Hannah Schweikert notched 34 assists, 11 digs and seven service aces, while Mady Hoerner had 11 digs and eight kills.

Columbia Falls is undefeated at 13-0 overall and 9-0 in conference play. The Wildkats will host Whitefish today at 6 p.m. in a semifinal game.

Avery Kelly led Butte Central with six kills, two blocks and three digs.

FRENCHTOWN — Brook Smith led the Whitefish Bulldogs to a first round divisional win over Frenchtown, delivered in three sets.

Smith’s 21 digs, eight kills, four service aces and two blocks gave the Bulldogs set victories in a tight contest with the Broncs.

Jenny Patten checked in with 14 of 23 team assists, and Ashton Ramsey had 23 assists.

The Bulldogs move on to semifinals against No. 1 seeded Columbia Falls
