Flathead reports 243 new virus cases

Flathead County reported 243 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, the highest daily total since the beginning of the pandemic.

The new cases bump the county’s active case total to 976. A total of 4,195 cases have been reported since March. Flathead County reported 28 hospitalizations on Friday.

Kalispell had 246 active cases. There were 58 active cases in Whitefish, 46 in Columbia Falls and 22 in Bigfork.

Statewide the new case total Saturday was 1,086, the second time this week the daily total has topped 1,000 cases. There were 446 hospitalizations on Saturday statewide, and the death total climbed to 445.

Gallatin and Yellowstone counties each reported 138 new cases Saturday.
