Beverly Toole Sherman, 87
Heaven received an angel on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020.
Beverly Toole Sherman was born to Cliff and Mayme Toole in Conrad, Montana, on July 19, 1933. From this family a younger brother joined them, Bruce P. Toole. Bev spent her years growing up on the Toole Ranch in the Sweetgrass Hills, riding horse with her brother, Bruce, and cousin, Natalie Toole, to the one room schoolhouse, eventually moving into Shelby with Gram, her grandmother, and graduating from Shelby High.
In time, Bev married her high school sweetheart, Richard C. Sherman; together they had three children, Mark Sherman, Cindy Sherman Majerus and Jon Sherman. When Dick was discharged from the service, they made their home in Shelby, then to Great Falls, where Dick was in the insurance business.
Bev and Dick built their cabin on Echo Lake, spending as much time there as they could, lots of holidays and summertime water skiing on Echo Lake. Bev’s love of the arts brought her to open Treasure State Gallery with her husband. The Gallery thrived, but also the longing to be in Bigfork. They sold their interest in the successful Gallery when Cindy graduated from CMR High School and the family followed Mark and became full-time residents of Bigfork where Jon attended Bigfork High School, upgrading the Echo Cabin along the way to a beautiful home! It was then that Bev and Dick opened Taylor Rental in Kalispell, which then became Sun Rental. Mark and Cindy joined their parents in the rental business and, soon after, Bev and Cindy opened PartyTime. Bev loved the social aspects, hard work and how fun it was to help plan and decorate for conventions, parties and weddings.
As life got busier, Bev and Dick found a slice of heaven in the upper Swan and built a cabin. They loved the peacefulness of the Swan Cabin and all it had to offer. They sold their interest in the business to their kids and spent most of their time at the Swan Cabin, snowmobiling in for short stays in the winter and would venture to Bigfork in the summers for supplies! Leaving Echo Lake, they made their home at Harbor Village.
Bev took delight in her children and grandchildren and her time with her husband.
Bev leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Richard; her three children, Mark Sherman of St. Regis, Cindy (Dan) Majerus of Bigfork, and Jon (Dixie) Sherman of Superior. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Shane Sherman, Stephanie Arnlund, Whitney Warren, Justin Sherman and Christie Hollenbeck; and eight grandchildren, Kendhal, Ava, Aiden and Austin, Jax, Hayden, Mia and Johnny.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Bruce P. Toole IV.
It was Bev’s wishes to wait for her much loved husband, Richard, at which time their ashes will be spread together at the Swan Cabin. A gathering of friends and family will be announced at a later date.
