Daniel J. Anderson, 71
Daniel J. Anderson of Columbia Falls passed away on Sept. 17, 2020, at home with his family, at the age of 71.
A Montana native, Dan was an auto body repairman for many years. He was a volunteer with the local ambulance for eight years, then went to Flathead Valley Community College and obtained his paramedic license. For the next 11 years he was a paid paramedic with the same ambulance service. His love for Emergency Medical Services lead him to become a certified state instructor and tester. He taught many EMS classes here in the valley.
Dan's favorite saying “It's just another adventure” proved true. He raced motorcycles and then went on to stock car racing. Other adventures were boating, water skiing, camping, snowmobiling and four wheeling. He definitely loved life.
Survivors include his wife, Diane, of 51 years; sons, Daniel of Kalispell, and Darrin in Kansas; nine grandchildren; two great-grandsons; brothers, Tom and wife Deanna of Columbia Falls, and Andrew and wife Diane of North Dakota; and several nieces and nephews.
Dan was pre-deceased by his parents, Andrew and Cecelia; and sisters, Barbara Kimmet and her husband Bill, and Cathy Evans and her husband Stanley; and infant daughter, Sanna Lee.
Dan's request was for no services, instead a camping weekend of family and friends in September 2021.
