BOZEMAN — Reagan Brisendine’s overtime goal helped the Glacier Wolfpack girls soccer team advance to the AA state final for the first time in program history Tuesday.

Tied 1-1 with the Bozeman Hawks after 80 minutes, Brisendine found the back of the net at 93:00, and Glacier (13-4) held on to win.

“All the credit goes to the girls,” Glacier coach Brenden Byrd said. “They did everything they possibly could to win the game.”

Brisendine has scored four goals in three games.

The freshman midfielder also scored in Glacier’s 3-0 quarterfinal win over Billings Skyview Saturday.

Emily Cleveland scored in the 50th minute on a free kick. Bozeman’s Sami Murphy answered for the Hawks (11-3-1) 10 minutes later.

Cleveland also assisted on Brisendine’s game winner.

Byrd singled out Kenzie Williams for her defensive play and leadership in the semifinal game.

“She did a great job commanding control of our team back there,” he said.

Glacier will play the winner of the Missoula Hellgate at Helena High game, which is today at 3:30 p.m.

“We aren’t even concerned about who we’re playing, just trying to stay healthy,” Byrd said.
