Thor A. Jackola, 84

Beloved husband and father Thor A. Jackola of Kalispell passed away quietly in his home Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020, at the age of 84.

He was born on Oct. 27, 1935, in Stanton Township, Michigan, to

Saima and William Jackola.

Thor was a retired engineer and faithful member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Lakeside. His faith was foremost in his life, followed by his unconditional love of family and friends and a strong sense of community.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy (Tonjum) Jackola; and his nine children, Jennifer and husband Dick Uskoski of Kalispell, Sara and husband Tom Massie of La Center, Washington, Kristian Jackola and wife Sharon of Columbia Falls, Gina and husband Stephen Petrini of Kalispell, Michael Jackola and wife Tonya of Kalispell, Melissa and husband Timothy Linge of Heisson, Washington, Shane Jackola and wife Kristin of Kalispell, Maria Jackola of Vancouver, Washington, and Melinda and husband Kent Rosenlund of Kalispell. He’s also survived by his brother-in-law David

Tonjum with Ann Marie, sisters-in-law Sally with David Waatti and Kristine Hallstrom, all of Kalispell, and his brother’s children, Lynn Cheney and Charles Jackola of California with their families. Thor loved his 33 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, relatives and friends dearly.

Thor was preceded in death by both parents, his only sibling Arthur Jackola of Reseda, California, and brother-in-law Willard Hallstrom of Kalispell.

There will be a viewing at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Lakeside from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, Oct. 20. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the church, with burial services at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell.
