Bengals win; face Glacier girls Wednesday for AA title

HELENA — The Bengals got a second-half equalizer from freshman Avery Kraft before beating Missoula Hellgate on penalty kicks (3-0) Wednesday, to advance to the State AA girls' state championship.

Helena (14-3) will host Western AA rival Glacier (13-4) in the state title match, which is set for Wednesday (Oct. 28) at 3 p.m. A winter storm pushed the date back from Saturday.Hellgate led 1-0 on Carmen Anderson’s goal in the 33rd minute.

Glacier advanced with a 2-1 overtime win over Bozeman in the semifinals. The Wolfpack lost twice to Helena during the regular season, 2-0 and 3-0.
