A dog that has apparently been causing ongoing problems was reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office for killing “another chicken.” Its owner couldn’t be reached and a trap was set to catch the dog.

A mother called the FCSO and said a male subject was harassing her son about “a golf cart repair situation.”

Some neighbors complained about a pit bull on the loose near their residence. The dog owner said, “all her dog did was run across the street to say ‘hi’ to other dogs.” She was nonetheless warned of the county dog ordinances and advised to keep her dog on her property.

Another neighborly dispute, this time about road access, ended with a driver trying to hit a woman with her vehicle after the driver deliberately parked to block access to a road.

A Colorado woman called the FCSO about a man with a warrant out of Flathead County who was living with the woman’s grandmother in South Dakota. An FCSO deputy advised the caller she would need to contact law enforcement in South Dakota about the complex situation.

A woman requested a tow for a boat that flipped over.

A woman who said she is not from the area said she heard an animal that sounded like it was in distress. She suspected it was a bear.

A man called the FCSO because some occupants of a vehicle with Wyoming plates invited his 14-year-old son to speak to them before they realized the father was present as well. Then they told the father they were working for a political campaign.

A Columbia Falls resident complained about her neighbor’s barking dogs, but the neighbor said his dogs were only responding to the barking of the caller’s dogs.
