Ducks targeted by unruly drivers

Someone alleged a male driving an older white Toyota truck was hitting ducks on purpose by Woodland Park, circling around and laughing and carrying on, while the driver of a white Chevy truck also reportedly also was involved in the incident. Kalispell Police Department spoke to another witness who said the two trucks apparently were spinning broadies. Officers disposed of three dead ducks that had been struck.

A Peeping Tom reportedly walked up to a resident’s yard and looked in the window where footprints were seen in the snow. Extra patrol was requested at night.

A customer allegedly refused to wear a mask and refused to leave the store, telling an employee to call the police. He left before officers arrived.

A woman was concerned about the welfare of her dog after receiving updates about the canine from a friend. The dog was purportedly awarded to her in a divorce settlement, but her ex still had it.

A crying woman alleged her boyfriend pushed her up against a bed, threw her on the floor and chased her around so she threw a phone at him. The woman reportedly tried to lock herself in the bedroom, but he kicked it in. He was arrested.

A transient reportedly started a fire at “graffiti rock.”

Someone calling from Ninth Street requested Columbia Falls Police Department check on the welfare of an intoxicated woman seen holding a bunch of items outside a store because she reportedly appeared distraught and was not dressed for the weather. The woman’s elderly mother reportedly went to pick her up and the daughter refused so the parent requested law enforcement assistance because she didn’t want to leave her standing in the cold. Eventually, the situation was resolved and mother and daughter “came to an understanding.”

Someone calling from Seventh Street West was allegedly suspicious a person was living in their vehicle in a church parking lot and wanted officers to check it out. A woman was moved along.

A man’s ex reportedly was trespassing when he called from Diane Road to report she was outside banging on his door. He then called back alleging she slashed his tires and said he has had to call police on her in the past.
