Man arrested in Dixon cold case murder
A man accused of murdering a Dixon area resident two years ago has been arrested and charged with deliberate homicide.
According to information from Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal officials, Cavey Little Rossbach was taken into custody after he was arrested by tribal police on other charges. Rossbach was transferred to the Sanders County Detention Center after the homicide charge was filed Monday in District Court. He is being held on $1 million bail.
Rossbach is accused of shooting and killing William “Bill” Conko Camel on Oct. 5, 2018, on Frank McClure Street in Agency, just north of Dixon in Sanders County.
According to the Montana Board of Pardons and Parole, Rossbach was paroled in 2014 after a conviction for criminal endangerment.
This investigation was done with several law enforcement agencies contributing, including Sanders County, Lake County, Montana Highway Patrol, the Sanders County Attorney, CSKT Prosecutor’s Office and the Montana Attorney General’s office.
