In order to stabilize the steep and possibly unstable slopes identified by a geotechnical report, approximately 70 linear feet of bank will be regraded within the floodplain boundary by pulling back grades to a 3:1 slope and re-establishing vegetation. The applicant will also be constructing a stormwater pond outfall approximately 2 feet above the high water level of the Stillwater River with a rip rap erosion control channel. No. 27274 LEGAL NOTICE Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) is moving forward with its proposal to purchase 14.89 acres along US Highway 93 at Montibello Lane adjacent to Flathead Lake to be developed and managed as a day-use Fishing Access Site (FAS). The proposed site is in Lake County, approximately one mile east of Dayton, Montana along Montibello Lane. Site developments will include access roads, parking area, a concrete boat ramp, boat dock, vault latrine, on-site host site, signage and boundary fencing. The proposed acquisition and development of a FAS at this site will provide a safe and quality access for fishing, boating, swimming and other appropriate recreational activities. The project will improve overall access to recreational opportunities on Flathead Lake. Public input on the proposal was accepted for 30 days as part of a draft environmental assessment.
