Daniel Allen McCarthy, 49

Daniel Allen McCarthy, age 49, of Kalispell, passed away on Aug. 12, 2020.

Dan was born in Santa Rosa, California in 1971. He attended school in California and Montana. He worked construction, as an asphalt laborer, an oil hauler, a cook, a truck owner and operator and as a heavy equipment operator, which he loved. Dan and his wife Wendy have been together 17 years.

He loved dirt track racing and was a mechanic for race and sprint cars. In 2007, Dan was the champion of the “Backhoe Rodeo” in Las Vegas, Nevada. He loved fishing and playing basketball with his younger daughters. Dan, the Big BBQ King, was passionate about cooking. Dan served as an umpire for Babe Ruth Baseball years ago and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Kalispell.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents Tom and G’ola McCarthy.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy; daughters, Danae, Nicole, McKenna, and Kayla; sisters, Denise, Christina; brother, Tom Jr. and all his extended family who he cherished and loved and they loved him.
