Whitefish nets wins in Libby

LIBBY — The Whitefish Lady Bulldogs tennis team swept Libby 7-0 Tuesday.

The Whitefish boys also won, 6-1.

Michael Hollingsworth was Libby’s only winner, beating Jack Robertson 6-1, 6-2.

Whitefish’s Anyah Cripe took Elise Erickson to three sets and won 6-4, 4-6, 6-3. Cripe and doubles partner Ali Hirsch also beat Jessica Cunningham and Bella Covington in two sets.

Both of Whitefish’s No. 1 singles players, Gracie Smyley and Jayce Cripe, also boasted two-set victories over their opponents.

Whitefish next faces Havre on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Stevensville at 1 p.m., both at FVCC.
