Wolfpack tennis tops Columbia Falls

Flathead’s boys and girls tennis teams each got wins over Columbia Falls Tuesday at FVCC.

The girls won 7-1 and the boys 6-2.

Winners included No. 1 doubles teams Marcella Mercer and Claire Morris and Tommy Wells and Drew Lowry. Nolan White, Kutuk White and Evan Sevaly won matches for the boys, and Avery Cherot, Mayson Moore and Alexis Kersten for the girls.

Columbia Falls’ Hannah Schweikert knocked off Emma Hawkins 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 1 girls’ singles match. It was her second win of the day, the first was against Glacier earlier in the afternoon.

In boys doubles, Wildcats Nico Lang and Dale Blickham beat Cody Ramer and Quaid Ring and Lucas Thacker and Orion Barta topped Gabe Adams and Ezra Epperly.

Flathead next faces crosstown rival Glacier at 3 p.m. Thursday at FVCC.
