Whitefish boys, girls thump Stevi, Havre
WHITEFISH — The Whitefish Bulldogs made short work of Havre and Stevensville on both sides of the court Saturday, sweeping both duals for boys and girls.
“We had a great day all around,” Whitefish boys’ coach Chris Schwaderer said. “Considering it is still early in the season, I think we looked sharp at singles and doubles.
“Havre is a well-coached and athletic team and one that we rarely get to play until the state meet, so it was fun to get a quality matchup with them. I'm really proud of all my guys..”
In fact, the Havre boys were the only squad to take a match from the Bulldogs.
“We have a lot of younger kids who are new to varsity competition, and they acted like they have been there before,” Schwaderer said.
Whitefish heads on the road for duals at Ronan and Polson on Tuesday, Flathead on Thursday, and a tournament in Libby on Saturday.
