Authorities have identified a Kalispell man who died in a motorcycle crash last week just west of Kalispell.

According to Montana Highway Patrol, 33-year-old Vincent Ray Cole, was riding a blue 2016 Harley Davidson FLTRXS east on Batavia Lane when he went off of the right side of the road while negotiating a curve.

The motorcycle then hit a fence and began to roll. Cole, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and died at the scene.

Road conditions were dry. Speed, alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash, according to Trooper Richard Mehring.

The fatality was the 61st on Montana roads in 2021.
