Law roundup: Man quenches thirst with stolen beer

A cashier allegedly told the Kalispell Police Department an older man wearing a black leather jacket opened a case of beer and drank some of it without paying. He left on foot, leaving the beer behind.

Officers received a report that a man’s restroom was allegedly flooded after someone stuffed items in the urinal and sink drain.

A man in his 50’s reportedly kept going into a craft store and threatening an employee and tried to fight them before leaving in an old yellow tow truck.

Two vehicles were allegedly driving recklessly in a school parking lot a principal reported.

A silver BMW was reportedly driving on sidewalks, swerving and hitting curbs before stopping in a gas station where a man stumbled out of the vehicle.

A man reportedly had video footage of a person jumping off his fence and offered to give it to police if they were looking for someone in “regards to issues from last night.”

Someone complained the barks coming from a neighbor’s dog in an alley were “bouncing off the wall.”

An unwelcome man showed up at a person’s residence after an altercation during the morning.

A concerned mother calling from another state requested a welfare check on a woman who called her claiming she had gotten beat up and the parent thought she was strung out on drugs.

A woman told dispatchers she left several messages for a man to call her and he hadn’t gotten back to her. She refused to tell dispatchers what her call was in reference to or give them her address.

An employee advised officers they had a problem setting off an alarm at a location and it went off in case they got a call about it.

Three teens were allegedly stranded at a location and needed to get home.

A woman complained the neighbor’s dog reportedly kept jumping into her yard and chasing her dog.

Someone requested a welfare check on a woman who was supposed to be at their house sober but when they talked to her on the phone she allegedly sounded high on meth or heroin and something did not seem right.

A man called police alleging a bar refused to pay him more than $900 after winning a ticket from a machine. Eventually, they did pay him and he said he no longer needed law enforcement assistance.

A woman reported her bank cards had been used after her purse was stolen from a camper in a parking lot.

Someone reported secondhand information that the upstairs floor of a two-story multi-resident building smelled like smoke, but it was unknown if people saw smoke. Occupants were evacuated and the situation investigated. The “smoke” turned out to be construction dust.

A man hung up after calling 911 when after he allegedly changed his mind about reporting what he thought was probably an underaged driver.

Someone accidentally called 911 when turning music off their phone.

A motorhome and a white sedan reportedly kept “bouncing between houses for the past two days,” and someone thought a man and a woman might be living in it. The people were moved along.
