Smith drives in 10 while Polson no-hits Browning

POLSON — Kobbey Smith went 5-for-5 with a home run and 10 runs batted in as Polson beat Browning 34-0 in Northwest A softball Saturday.

Lexie Orien also homered and drove in five runs for the Pirates, who got a combined no-hitter from Katelynn Druyvestein and Turquoise Pierre.

Druyvestein struck out five hitters in her two innings of work; Pierre fanned six and walked one in her three innings.

Josie Caye added three hits, drove in four and scored six times for Polson; Nikki Kendall, Pierre and Mossey Kaulley each scored four times. Browning’s pitching allowed 16 hits and 17 walks and hit eight batters.
