Law roundup: Swimmers get soaked, but not in the pool

People at the designated tent area for a swim meet in Columbia Falls got soaked when the sprinkler system was activated.

The parking situation near the pool also prompted a call to Columbia Falls Police. The caller said she appreciates that the kids want to swim, but warned that the poorly parked vehicles were creating a dangerous situation.

A man was found “half sleeping” in his car after an argument went 10 rounds.

A small blond puppy nipped at a woman’s granddaughter. The woman didn’t think the pup was vicious, but was upset because the dog was unleashed.

A malfunctioning irrigation system was flooding a new soccer field. The school district was contacted.

Police were informed about a person mowing their dry lawn and hitting rocks. The caller was concerned about the fire hazard.

A neighbor was blasting loud and offensive music, again. The reporting party said the neighbor became volatile when asked to lower the volume.

A man needed medical attention after a fight left him bleeding from his ear and nose. The reporting party fired shots into the air to try and stop the scuffle. The altercation apparently started over a road rage incident.

A green Ford Mustang caught fire behind an auto parts store.
