Law roundup: Family squabble leads to foot race
An intoxicated woman was “running around town” and her sister chased after her on foot. The intoxicated woman decided to voluntarily go to the hospital, and her grandmother drove her there, according to the Columbia Falls Police Department.
A Columbia Falls landlord who has a history of altercations with tenants said he didn’t want his renter to have friends over to the rental property.
During an eerie call, a dispatcher “heard an echo but nothing else.” It turned out to be an accidental dial.

A manager at a business asked the police to pick up a bicycle outside the business. The manager believed the bike was stolen and then discarded when the thief subsequently upgraded and stole a “better bike.”
A nervous neighbor complained about a small dog barking nearby, but she didn’t want to provide her name or address. She said she would “try to talk to [her] neighbor.”
A man passed out behind a grocery store in Columbia Falls. According to a caller, he “look[ed] like he meant to fall asleep there.” Eventually, the man got “back on two feet” and went on his way.
