Law roundup: Broken board a cause for tears
A woman was crying on a 911 call because her neighbor pushed over a piece of lumber that was leaning on their mutual fence and the wood broke. She was informed “it would be a while before an officer could make contact” because the Kalispell Police Department had to deal with more pressing issues than her broken piece of wood.
A “concerned customer” felt that a man was “bothering” an employee. However, the KPD was informed “the subject sits there all day” and he was “no problem.”
A woman in a tie-dye shirt was “swinging, kicking [and] cussing...at no one in particular.” Then she got into her car, punched the windows and screamed. However, she refused assistance.
A man drinking a beer in front of a gas station was asked to leave.
An out-of-state driver was spotted “smoking something from a pipe” in a parking lot. The person who called said they thought the substance was meth.
A man got caught indecently exposing himself in front of two underage girls.
A man was lying face down on a sidewalk with a beer can and other alcohol containers strewn around him. Eventually, he got up and moved along.
A man said a driver followed him through Kalispell in a road rage incident. He said the angry motorist “brake-checked him,” stopped him in an intersection and then threatened to shoot him.
A passerby saw a baby sleeping by itself in a running car.
A neighbor said he heard a “loud noise” and he thought it “sound[ed] like a party.”
