Law Roundup: Fridge transaction gets the deep freeze

Two people apparently sent money via an app to buy a refrigerator that was being sold online. Then the seller deleted every trace of the transactions, and one of the buyers wanted their money back.

A pair of neighbors carried their dispute out into the public when they got in a fight in a store. One of them said he had a loaded gun with him, but he promised to unload it once he saw Kalispell Police Department officers arrive on the scene.

A woman wanted to provide information about a broken down car in a turn lane. She disconnected before she could answer additional questions, and it turned out her report was inaccurate.

Someone trying to call a veterinarian accidentally called police.

A woman wearing khaki shorts banged on a woman’s window and yelled at her about a car. Then she left, so the caller said she didn’t need law enforcement’s help after all.

A park official caught a man vending “hats and stuff” without a permit in a park. When the official asked the vendor to leave, the unpermitted man “became rude.” Eventually the man packed up his sale.

Two women could be overheard screaming at one another on a 911 call. Apparently, law enforcement was on the scene earlier in the day. After the second call, one of the women was reportedly evicted.

Someone reported a vehicle for parking in the wrong spot “every single day.”

A fraud victim learned to be distrustful after his credit card information was stolen. He insisted he wanted to talk to an officer in person about the incident.

A property manager asked to speak to police about a “weird situation” with a tenant. The caller refused to give additional information.
