Bruins shut out Flathead girls, boys

The Bravettes couldn’t get on the scoresheet Saturday against the visiting Helena Capital, who won 3-0.

Taylor Cornwell scored two for the Bruins. Lilli Danzer added one.

Flathead also dropped its season opener to Helena Friday, 8-2.

“We did our best, we are improving through the season,” Flathead coach Bledy Doda said.

Next for the Bravettes is a 5 p.m. game Tuesday against Missoula Big Sky at Kidsports.

The Bruins blanked the Braves in a Saturday game, 4-0.

Tizer Kazmierowski scored two for Helena Capital, with Trey Moseman and Jace Classen adding goals.

Flathead lost 3-0 Friday to Helena High. But coach Zach Brenneman has seen some positive things from the team.

“We’re still building, we’re still growing,” Brenneman said. “We’re getting a little better.”

Flathead plays host to Missoula Big Sky Tuesday at 3 p.m.
