Embrace your inner elf with ‘Elf The Musical’
Full of holiday cheer, Whitefish Theatre Company’s “Elf The Musical” opens this weekend with shows on Dec. 2, 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. Performances continue next weekend on Dec. 9, 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 12 at 4 p.m. It should be noted that both Sunday matinees are currently sold out with waiting lists for tickets. Both Saturday shows have very limited tickets
available. Virtual tickets are available for this show, allowing everyone to see the show if particular nights sell out.
“Elf The Musical” is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. When he discovers that he is not really an elf — his enormous size and poor toy-making skills in Santa’s Workshop should have tipped him off — he sets off for New York City to find his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his real father is on the naughty list and his half-brother does not even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the magic of Christmas. With joyous songs to put you in the holiday spirit, you’ll agree “the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear!”
Kim Krueger is the director and Karla West is the music director of this production, performing live with musicians Natalie Radosevich and Sarina Hart. Contributing to the set design are Robbie Moody, lighting and sound designer; Scott Plotkin, stage manager; and Cathy Kraft, props master.
Costumes are designed by Sarah Bell and her cast of dedicated seamstresses who made over 75 costumes for the show.
