Eureka girls build lead, top Stillwater Christian

EUREKA — Ixone Coteron scored 18 points, 13 in the first half, and Eureka took command early in a 59-41 non-conference girls basketball win over Stillwater Christian Saturday.

Jadyn Pluid and Reena Truman added 14 points each and Dylan Sharp chipped in 10 for the District 7-B Lions.

Zoe Linn’s 12 points led Stillwater Christian; Belle Schwartz and Bailey Prewitt added 10 points each. Schwartz scored eight points in the Lions’ 28-point fourth quarter.

Belle Schwartz scored 17 points and Stillwater Christian pulled steadily away from the second quarter on to defeat the Helena Christian girls Friday.

Zoe Linn added 12 points for the Cougars, six in the second quarter as the hosts padded a 10-9 lead out to 24-15. Schwartz had a pair of baskets as the gap grew to 39-16 after three quarters.
