Employer of choice nominations open
Job Service Kalispell is accepting nominations for its annual Employers’ Council Employer of Choice Award.
Nominations are judged based on employee benefits/initiatives, leadership and workplace culture, employee training and development, and community orientation.
Businesses are categorized by those with up to 50 employees, 50 to 150 employees and 151 employees or more.
Winning employers are eligible to be nominated for the Montana State Employer of Choice award. Applications are accepted until Feb. 15, 2022.

FVCC offers business start-up workshop
Flathead Valley Community College will offer a business start-up workshop from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, in the FVCC Arts and Technology Building, Room 204 or via Zoom. The cost is $15.
If you’re dreaming about starting a business but don’t know where to begin, this introductory class walks you through evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of a business idea and helps you determine whether it is feasible. Startup costs, market opportunity, financial projections and financing options will be discussed.

Flathead Lake Lodge launches off-season event
Flathead Lake Lodge is ringing in 2022 with an inaugural off-season event, New Year’s Eve at Flathead Lake Lodge.
New Year’s Eve at Flathead Lake Lodge will take place in the Main Lodge with a happy hour, a five-course chef’s dinner with wine pairings, music and dancing from Tom Catmull’s Last Resort and fireworks. However, accommodations at the lodge are not available for the event.
Tickets for New Year’s Eve at Flathead Lake Lodge are $200 per person and are available at EventBrite.com.
