Creston subdivision proposals top Planning Board agenda
Two proposed subdivisions in the Creston area top the Flathead County Planning Board agenda for Wednesday’s meeting.
Marlin Kauffman is requesting preliminary plat approval of a nine-lot residential subdivision on 42.86 acres located 2.75 miles east of Montana 35 on Bachelor Grade Road. The lots would be served by individual septic systems and water wells.
The average lot size would be 4.76 acres. The property is wooded, and an internal road would be located at the northwest end of the subdivision to serve all of the lots. The property is unzoned.
JMB Holdings of Kalispell is asking for preliminary plat approval of a four-lot residential subdivision on 5 acres at 106 Splendid View in Creston. The property would be served by individual septic systems and water wells.
The property currently has a house and other accessory buildings on it, but otherwise is open, with trees along the perimeter. The property is not zoned. The subdivision would have an internal subdivision and rely on Splendid View Drive for access.
IN OTHER business, the board will consider a request from McDonald Family Trust for a lakeshore construction permit to remove an existing T-dock and construct a new T-Dock, within the lakeshore protection zone of Lake Five. The property is located at 428 Belton Stage Road near West Glacier.
Rick Breckenridge is asking for a zone change on 32.5 acres within the Blanchard Lake Zoning Direct, from agricultural zoning with a 40-acre minimum lot size to suburban agricultural with a 10-acre minimum lot size.
The board meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 8 in the second-floor conference room of the South Campus Building, 40 11th St. W., Kalispell.
