Law roundup: Strange sheet going on at woman’s house

| December 9, 2021 12:00 AM

Strange things were happening at a woman’s house that she couldn’t explain and wanted to speak to a Kalispell Police Department officer. She reportedly put sheets in the washing machine, but when she went to take them out they were gone. Was it a thief? A ghost? A significant other or her child who finally helped out with household chores? She was counseled by an officer.

A teenage rivalry turned nasty when a group of four girls and two boys put on their snow hats and hoodies and allegedly went over to a woman’s residence where they threw a snowball at a window and challenged her daughter to fight over social media posts. The group had earlier posted threats on TikTok and texted the woman’s daughter that they were going to jump her. She just wanted them to leave her family alone.

A woman called to report her sister pushed her and was not supposed to have contact with her when the line disconnected. When dispatchers called back, a man answered, changing the subject from his daughter’s argument to his guns being stolen. Then, the original caller got on the phone saying her mom and dad were yelling in the background. In the end she didn’t want law enforcement there after all when her pushy sister left and it was determined the guns had already been reported stolen days ago.

Someone watching a security camera thought they saw a male passenger in a black SUV trying to shoot up drugs in his leg in the parking lot and wanted him and the driver moved along. The man was passed out when officers arrived, however, no drugs were visible.

A woman with a lip piercing reportedly tried to resell stolen items at a store, which was an ongoing issue.

A red Mitzubishi with a rear flat tire was stickered after being parked near an intersection for more than a month and after being covered in snow, seemed to be a traffic hazard.

A man wanted a complaint documented regarding alleged harassment by a neighbor who yelled and screamed when he walked by or worked on the side of his house. He may file a future restraining order if necessary.

A man escorted from a location the previous night was reportedly calling to harass staff every half hour.

A possibly intoxicated man found sleeping in a pavilion was moved along.

A man sleeping in a white van was advised he had 24 hours to get off the property after being asked repeatedly to leave.
