Hawks hit 11 threes, down Flathead 74-47

The Bozeman Hawks weren’t quite as deadly from three Saturday morning, but they were hot enough to top the Flathead Braves 74-47 in non-conference boys basketball.

Trent Rogers hit two of the Hawks’ 11 threes and scored a game-high 22 points. Bozeman (3-0) hit five 3-pointers in a 25-point first quarter; by half the visitors were up 43-19.

Ty Huse added 13 points and Jackson Basye 11 for the Hawks, who were 16-for-26 from the arc in an 84-60 win at Glacier Friday evening.

Luca Zoeller scored 17 points to lead Flathead (0-4). Gavin Chouinard hit four 3-pointers and added 12 points. Flathead’s next action will be a Jan. 7 home conference game against Butte.
