Law roundup: Driver hits snowman on way to gas station
A reckless — possibly intoxicated — driver wearing a pink hat reportedly drove through a ditch and ran over a snowman on her way to the gas station. After plowing through Frosty, she found a parking spot and went into the store, leaving her car running. When she came out, she purportedly stood next to her car realizing multiple people called the Kalispell Police Department and drove away. She allegedly attempted to pull into a driveway after refusing to stop. She was taken to the hospital to have her blood drawn.
Dispatchers probably had bigger fish to fry than a woman calling and repeating the phrase, “You’re not liked by me,” to questions of whether or not she needed police, fire, or medical assistance.
A man reportedly believed the curly-headed guy who stole his phone was also sleeping in his vehicle.
A man allegedly tried to strangle a woman when she got out of her car. She refused medical assistance.
A man accidentally called 911 while dialing and instead of staying on the line to answer a dispatcher’s questions he told them he had an important call and hung up. The phone number had a history of 911 hang-ups.
About eight teens were reportedly found drinking in a hotel parking lot by an employee. The employee called officers back to tell them the group took off.
Someone’s daughter allegedly was found trespassing in a house she had been kicked out of by the landlord and was sitting in a chair, refusing to leave. They told officers she might be on drugs.
A hotel employee had front-row seats to a fistfight in the parking lot, which was caught on a security camera. The employee told officers the situation looked “very tense.”
