Prep hoops roundup: Glacier girls pull away from Big Sky
MISSOULA — Emma Anderson and Ellie Keller scored 12 points each and Glacier pushed away from Missoula Big Sky in the second period to grab a 67-37 Western AA girls’ basketball win Tuesday.
Janessa Henson and Kenzie Williams added nine points each for the Wolfpack (5-3), which led 26-13 on Kaylee Fritz’s 3-pointer late in the first half. The Eagles (1-7) drew to 36-23 midway through the third before Glacier again widened the gap.
“Great team win tonight,” Glacier coach Amanda Cram said. “Defensively we made quick adjustments and continued to refine our full-court pressure.
“Offensively we were able to use our entire bench and I’m proud of the way we found ways to score within our system.”
Henson scored six points in the third for the Wolfpack.
Corbyn Sandau and Avari Batt scored 12 each for Big Sky.

EUREKA — Laney Denning keyed a dominant third quarter for Loyola Sacred Heart, and the Breakers rallied past Eureka in a non-conference girls’ basketball game Tuesday.
Denning scored eight of her 10 points in the third as Loyola built a 38-30 lead. Lani Walker added seven points in the period and finished with 13 for the District 6-B Breakers.
Katie Schmidt’s 16 points all came in the second quarter for District 7-B leader Eureka (7-4); she hit four 3-pointers as the Lions took a 22-18 halftime lead.

EUREKA — Will Burns and Raef Konzen combined for 22 second-half points and Loyola Sacred Heart surged past Eureka 53-40 for a non-conference boys’ basketball win Tuesday afternoon.
Burns had 15 points, 12 in the second half for the District 6-B Rams, who outscored the 7-B Lions 39-20 after intermission.
TJ Carr led Eureka (3-8) with 11 points.
