Ruth Estella Gray, 95
Ruth Estella Gray, 95, passed away Jan. 27, 2021.
Ruth was born in Shevlin, Minnesota, in 1925 to Fred and Nellie Marsh. She lived in Scobey, Montana, until 1936, at which time the family moved to the Flathead Valley.
She was one of 14 siblings, in which she has three surviving siblings in Montana.
Her marriage in 1944 to the love of her life, John Gray, produced four children. However, tragically that was cut short due to a vehicle accident in 1961.
Ruth completed her high school degree and took additional classes for emergency medical training. She loved and held dear her family members and friends, each and everyone. Over the years she opened her home to any of her family members in need and was happy to help. Ruth was an excellent cook, in which we all enjoyed Grandma's homemade chicken noodle soup and homemade cinnamon rolls. She also loved to dance to country music.
Ruth has 45 surviving nieces and nephews out of 55 and she loved them all.
In her immediate family she had 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth will be missed far and wide as she was a stronghold in the family, always wanting the best for all and wanted everyone's children cared for and loved.
Ruth was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness and dedicated her life to serving and following Jehovah's teachings. So, with the belief of the resurrection here on earth this is not goodbye but see you soon. Revelations 21:4
The family will make further arrangements at a later date. Also, a family letter will be produced with more details.
Darlington Cremation and Burial Service is caring for the Gray family.
