Reward increased for info related to dead bears found near Bigfork
The reward for anyone with substantial information regarding two grizzly bears that were found dead in Bigfork last November has increased to $6,750.
A news release from Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, which provides up to $1,000 for information, says individuals anonymously donated another $5,750 as an increased incentive for details that lead to a conviction. The reward is being facilitated by the Montana Outdoor Legacy Foundation.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and FWP are investigating the death of the bears. The carcasses of an adult female bear and cub were located Nov. 9 on Bear Creek Road near Montana 83.
No additional information is available at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call 1-800-847-6668, or Warden Justin Slobuszewski at 406-253-2934. Callers may remain anonymous. If the information leads to a conviction, callers could be eligible for a cash reward.
