Dawgs nip Cats with strong second half

COLUMBIA FALLS — Jayce Cripe scored 20 points, all in the second half, and Whitefish pulled away to a 57-46 victory over Northwest A rival Columbia Falls Friday.

Cripe hit four 3-pointers to offset the efforts of the Wildcats’ Jace Hill, who hit six 3-pointers and scored 21 points in the second half. Hill finished with 29.

Cade Morgan added 11 for the Wildcats (5-6 overall, 3-6 in league).

Talon Holmquist had 14 points and Jaxsen Schlauch added 11 for Whitefish (4-5, 2-3).
