Blue Hawks sweep Eureka teams

EUREKA — The Thompson Falls Blue Hawks got 21 points from Dante Micheli in a 60-47 District 7B boys’ basketball win over the Eureka Lions on Saturday.

Kade Pardee added 12 for the Blue Hawks and Justin Morgan scored 11.

For Eureka, Danny Dunn and Gavin Bates each scored nine points. Joey Kindel added eight.

LIBBY - Caden Williams scored 19 points, eight in the fourth quarter, and the Libby Loggers held off Columbia Falls for a Northwestern A boys’ basketball win Saturday.

Cade Morgan hit five 3-pointers and scored 19 points for the Wildcats, who led by one midway through the fourth quarter on a Morgan three.

Jace Hill had 12 points and Allec Knapton 10 for Columbia Falls (5-6 overall, 4-5 in league). Jay Beagle added 10 for the Loggers (5-5, 4-4).

EUREKA — Jody Detlaff scored 18 points and Thompson Falls held off a fourth-quarter rally by Eureka to hand the Lions their first District 7-B girls’ basketball loss Saturday.

Ellie Baxter added 13 points for the Bluehawks (8-2 overall and 5-2 in league games). Kyla Bohne had a game-high 23 points and Katie Schwindt added 16 for the Lions (7-5, 5-1).
