Spartans down Bravettes with second-half surge
MISSOULA — Olivia Huntsinger scored 16 points to lead three Missoula Sentinel players in double figures, and the Spartans caught fire in the second half of a 72-43 girls’ basketball win over the Flathead Bravettes Saturday.
Kuyra Siegel’s eight points led Flathead (2-6), which trailed just 26-21 at halftime. Sentinel (6-3) poured in 46 second-half points.
Hunstinger scored six in the third quarter as the lead grew to 44-28; reserve CC Size fired in three 3-pointers and scored all of her 15 points in the Spartans’ 28-point fourth.
Brooke Stayner added 11 points for Sentinel.
