No. 27517 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY BERNE ROAD, COLUMBIA FALLS, MT The Board of Viewers has reported to the Flathead County Board of Commissioners on the proposed abandonment of a portion of the public right-of-way on Berne Road in Columbia Falls, Montana that can legally be described as follows: A strip of land 40 feet in width, 20 feet each side of the following described line: beginning at a point on the East and West mid-section line Section 11, Township 30 North, Range 20 West, P.M.M., being 325 feet, more or less, East of the center of said Section 11, thence 39º01' East, a distance of 180 feet, more or less,; thence North 30º08' east, a distance of 155 feet; thence North 37º46' East, a distance of 240 feet; thence North 53º32' East, a distance of 660 feet; thence North 19º00' East, a distance of 150 feet; thence North 2º35' West, a distance of 359 feet; more or less, to a point on the North line of the Southwest 1/4 Northeast 1/4 being 60 feet, more or less, South 88º04' West from the Northeast 1/16 corner of said Section 11. Notice is hereby given to the petitioners or landowners, as disclosed by the last assessment roll of Flathead County, owning land abutting the portion of the right-of-way, as described above, that it is being considered for abandonment. No. 27533 Service Date: February 5, 2021 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATION BEFORE THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF MONTANA IN THE MATTER OF the Application of Starlink Services, LLC for Designation as an Eligible Telecommunications Carrier for Purposes of Receiving Rural Digital Opportunities Fund Support REGULATORY DIVISION DOCKET NO. 2021.01.005 NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND INTERVENTION DEADLINE On January 4, 2021, Starlink Services, LLC ("Starlink") filed with the Montana Public Service Commission ("Commission") its Application for Designation as an Eligible Telecommunications Carrier ("Application"). Starlink is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Space Exploration Technologies Corp. ("SpaceX"), which was selected by the Federal Communications Commission as a winning bidder in the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund ("RDOF") auction to provide satellite broadband and voice-over-internet-protocol service in 37 counties across Montana. On December 22, 2020, SpaceX assigned its winning bids to Starlink. Starlink's receipt of $74,723,246 in RDOF support over ten years is contingent upon receiving designation as an eligible telecommunications carrier ("ETC") from the Commission by June 7, 2021. Starlink requested expedited consideration of its Application. Counties to be served by Starlink include: Beaverhead, Big Horn, Broadwater, Carbon, Cascade, Chouteau, Custer, Dawson, Deer Lodge, Fergus, Flathead, Gallatin, Glacier, Hill, Jefferson, Judith Basin, Lake, Lewis and Clark, Lincoln, Madison, Meagher, Mineral, Missoula, Park, Pondera, Powell, Ravalli, Richland, Roosevelt, Rosebud, Sanders, Silver Bow, Stillwater, Teton, Toole, Wibaux, and Yellowstone. A copy of the filing is publicly available online at the Commission's website (http://psc.mt.gov) under Docket No. 2021.01.005. On March 20, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of Operational Changes in Response to Coronavirus ("Notice"). Under the "Office Closed to Public" section of the Notice, the Commission outlined a temporary change for office closure during business hours.
