Vikings top Wildcats; Loggers beat Lions

COLUMBIA FALLS — Walker Fisher scored 22 points, Isak Epperly added 15 and Bigfork used a third-quarter surge to beat Columbia Falls 54-42 for a non-conference boys’ basketball win Tuesday.

Epperly hit two 3-pointers and Fisher hit another as the 7-B Vikings (9-2) built a 47-31 lead going into the fourth quarter. The lead grew to 18 before Columbia Falls (5-8) narrowed it to six late. Jace Hill’s 20 points led the Northwestern A Wildcats.

Bryce Gillard added 10 points for Bigfork.

LIBBY — Caden Williams scored 23 points and T.J. Anderson added 14 to help Libby win the Battle of the Kootenai boys’ basketball game Tuesday, 54-42 over Eureka.

Both Williams and Anderson had two buckets as Libby surged away from a 35-35 tie after three quarters. Jay Beagle and Ryder Davis also struck for four points in the quarter for the Northwest A Loggers (6-5).

Gavin Bates’ 14 points led the District 7-B Lions (3-10).

PABLO — Colton Graham hit four 3-pointers and scored 24 points to lead Polson to the non-conference win over Mission Tuesday.

Jarrett Wilson added 19 points and JC Steele 11 for the Northwestern A Pirates (9-1), who blew the game open with a 29-point third quarter. Wilson had 10 points in the frame, and Graham had nine, including two threes.

Zoran Lafromboise hit four 3-pointers and scored 21 points for the District 7-B Bulldogs (9-5).
